Search and traffic reports
Read the Search Console and GA4 reports in RankKit SEO → Analytics, from clicks and top queries to organic sessions and visits from AI assistants.
On this page
RankKit SEO → Analytics shows what people search for, what they click and where traffic is slipping, using your own Search Console and GA4 data. You don't need to open Google's tools to answer the everyday questions: which pages bring visitors, which queries you rank for, and whether AI assistants send you traffic.
The reports appear once you connect Google and choose a Search Console property and a GA4 property.
The controls
At the top of the page:
- The connection card, where you switch the Search Console or Google Analytics 4 property, or Disconnect.
- The date range: 7 days, 28 days (default), 90 days, 180 days or 12 months. Every number is compared with the period of the same length just before it.
- Refresh data, which clears RankKit SEO's cached copy and loads fresh numbers from Google.
RankKit SEO caches Search Console data for 6 hours and GA4 data for 3 hours, so moving around the page stays fast and your Google API quota isn't used up.

Search performance
Four totals from Google Search, each with the change versus the previous period:
| Metric | What it means |
|---|---|
| Clicks | Clicks from Google Search results to your site. |
| Impressions | How often your pages appeared in results. |
| Average CTR | Clicks divided by impressions. |
| Average position | Your average ranking. Lower is better, so a drop in this number is good news. |
Click a total to chart it. The chart also shows the previous period for comparison.
Below the chart, Top queries and Top pages list the 25 biggest queries and pages with Clicks, Impr., CTR and Pos. A small arrow shows whether clicks went up or down. Page rows link to the post editor when RankKit SEO can match the URL to a post.
Search Console data arrives about two days late, so the period ends two days ago. The page states the exact date range under the chart.
Traffic & AI referrals
GA4 numbers for the whole site, each versus the previous period:
- Sessions: all visits.
- Organic search sessions: visits from unpaid search results.
- Engagement rate: the share of sessions GA4 counts as engaged.
- Key events: the conversions you've marked as key events in GA4.
The Organic sessions chart shows organic search visits per day. GA4 data runs up to yesterday.
Visits from AI assistants lists sessions referred by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Copilot and other assistants. See Measure traffic from AI assistants for how they're detected.
RankKit SEO Pro RankKit SEO Pro adds Top organic landing pages to this tab: the pages that bring in search visitors, with Sessions, Engaged rate and Key events for each. Start a 14-day free trial or see plans.

FAQ
Why don't my numbers match Search Console exactly?
RankKit SEO requests final (not fresh) data, ending two days ago, and shows the same date window for every metric. Search Console's own screen may include more recent, still-changing days. Also, the Top queries list can add up to less than the total clicks, because Google leaves anonymized queries out of query lists.
The report says "Choose a Search Console property above." What do I do?
Pick your site in the Search Console dropdown on the connection card. GA4 tabs need a property chosen in Google Analytics 4 in the same way.
How do I get the latest numbers?
Click Refresh data. Otherwise RankKit SEO reloads Search Console data every 6 hours and GA4 data every 3 hours.
