The SEO email report sends you a summary of your site's SEO health and traffic, so you can keep an eye on things without logging in. The free plugin sends it once a month to the site admin email. RankKit SEO Pro lets you choose the schedule, add recipients such as your team or clients, and brand the email with your own logo and colours.

The report is off until you turn it on.

Turn on the report

  1. Go to RankKit SEO → Settings → Email reports.
  2. Turn on Send the SEO email report.
  3. Click Save changes.

On the free plan the report goes out on the 1st of every month at 08:00 in your site's time zone, to the administration email address in Settings → General in WordPress.

The card shows the Schedule, the Next report, when the report was Last sent and the Recipients.

Test and preview

  • Save and send a test now saves your settings and sends a report straight away. Its subject starts with "[Test]".
  • Preview saves your settings and shows the email in a window, without sending it.

What the report contains

The report covers the last 30 days for a monthly report and the last 7 days for a weekly one, compared with the period before. RankKit SEO runs a fresh site audit when it builds the report.

FAQ

I did not receive the report. What should I check?

Click Save and send a test now. If you see "WordPress could not send the email. Check your site's mail setup (an SMTP plugin usually fixes this).", your site cannot send email. Install an SMTP plugin and send the test again. If the test arrives but scheduled reports do not, make sure your site gets traffic or has a real cron job, because reports are sent by WP-Cron.

Can I send the report to my client on the free plan?

The free report goes to the site's administration email only. To add recipients, use Also send to on RankKit SEO Pro.

Does the report include the sections for Google if I have not connected it?

No. Sections that need Google, AI crawler tracking or a speed test are left out until the data exists.

Who can change the report settings?

Users with the Settings permission, which only administrators have by default. See Role manager.
