Bulk AI writes a new SEO title or meta description for many posts in one go, using your own AI provider. It is the fastest way to fill in missing descriptions after a migration, or to fix the long, short and duplicate titles the site audit finds.

Every run is safe to try. RankKit SEO takes a backup before it starts, and all the changes from one run land in the Change Log as a single batch you can undo with one click.

You need an AI provider set up first: see Add your AI provider key.

From the bulk SEO editor

  1. Go to RankKit SEO → Content and open the SEO editor tab.
  2. Narrow the list with the filters, for example choose Missing description or Missing custom title, and a content type.
  3. Tick the posts you want, or use Select all. The toolbar shows "%d selected".
  4. Click AI titles or AI descriptions.
  5. When the run finishes you see "AI updated %d posts. Undo from the Change Log." The table reloads with the new values.

For each post, the AI reads the post's title and content and writes a title of 45–60 characters or a description of 130–155 characters, with the main focus keyword near the start when one is set. The result replaces any title or description already saved on that post.

Tip Filter for Missing custom title or Missing description before you select. That way bulk AI only fills empty fields and leaves text you wrote by hand alone.

More about the table itself: The bulk SEO editor.

From the site audit

Several metadata issues in RankKit SEO → Site Audit have a Fix with AI button:

Audit issue AI writes
Pages without a written meta description Descriptions
Duplicate SEO titles Titles
Duplicate meta descriptions Descriptions
SEO titles longer than 60 characters Titles
SEO titles shorter than 25 characters Titles
Meta descriptions longer than 160 characters Descriptions
Meta descriptions shorter than 70 characters Descriptions
Focus keyword missing from the SEO title Titles
Images without alt text Alt text
  1. Click Fix with AI on the issue.
  2. Read the confirmation: "RankKit SEO will write a new … for %d items using your AI provider and apply it right away."
  3. Click Generate for %d items. A run covers up to 20 of the listed items.
  4. The audit re-runs, so the issue count updates straight away.

See Run a site audit and fix issues.

From an AI agent

A connected AI agent can run the same generation with the ai_bulk_generate tool, for titles, descriptions or alt text. RankKit SEO takes an automatic backup before a real (not dry-run) call, and with approval mode on, the agent's changes wait for your approval. See Approval mode, dry runs and undo.

Limits

  • Up to 50 items per run from the SEO editor (20 from an audit Fix with AI).
  • One AI request per item. Each counts toward your Daily request limit. If the limit is reached, or AI is paused, the run stops and the items already done are kept.
  • Your permissions apply. Posts you are not allowed to edit are skipped.

Undo a run

  1. Go to RankKit SEO → Change Log.
  2. Find the batch from your run ("%d changes from …").
  3. Click Revert whole batch, or Revert on a single change inside it.

If you need to go further back, the automatic backup ("Before a bulk AI change") is listed under RankKit SEO → Tools → Backups. See Backups, export and import settings.

FAQ

Does bulk AI overwrite titles I wrote myself?

Yes, for the posts you select. Use the Missing custom title and Missing description filters to select only posts without one.

How much does a run cost?

One request to your AI provider per post, billed by your provider at their prices. A run of 50 descriptions is 50 requests. See AI usage limits, costs and privacy.

What happens on the free version?

The SEO editor shows a locked Bulk AI titles & descriptions button and the audit shows a locked Fix with AI button. On Free you can still use Suggest with AI on one post at a time, in the table or the editor.
