Write with AI writes a full article for the post you are editing, straight from the RankKit SEO panel. RankKit SEO plans the article first, as an SEO content brief that uses your existing posts for internal links, then writes it section by section with your own AI provider. You review the result before anything goes into the post.

It is free and uses the provider you set up in Add your AI provider key. Without a key, the section shows "Add your AI provider key first." with a Set up AI link.

Write an article

  1. In the block editor, click the RankKit SEO button in the editor toolbar to open the RankKit SEO panel.
  2. Choose Write with AI in the menu on the left.
  3. Fill in the form:
Field Default What it does
Topic or focus keyword The post's main focus keyword, or its title What the article is about. Required.
Audience (optional) Empty Who the article is for, for example "home cooks trying it for the first time".
Tone Friendly Professional, Friendly, Casual, Persuasive, Informative or Authoritative.
Length Medium Short (about 800 words), Medium (about 1,500 words) or Long (about 2,500 words).
Notes for the writer (optional) Empty Points to cover, products to mention, things to avoid.
Add an FAQ section (becomes FAQ schema) On Ends the article with questions and answers that RankKit SEO outputs as FAQ schema.
  1. Click Write article. The button shows "Planning the article…", then "Writing the article…".

Writing takes one to three minutes. Keep the tab open until it finishes.

Review and insert the article

When the article is ready, you see a preview with its title, word count and meta description, followed by the full text. Read it, then choose how to add it:

The post is Buttons What happens
Empty Insert into post Sets the post title, content and excerpt.
Has content Add to the end of the post Adds the article after your existing content.
Has content Replace the post content Replaces the content, title and excerpt with the article.

Inserting also fills the Meta Description in General and, if the post has no focus keyword yet, sets one. You then see "The article is in the editor, with its meta description. Read it, add your own experience and images, then save."

Nothing is saved to the post until you save it. Before you do, check facts and add what only you know.

Important Replace the post content removes everything currently in the post, including its title and excerpt. Use it only when you no longer need the existing text.

Costs

One article uses several AI requests: one to plan it, then more to write it section by section. Your provider bills them on your own account, and they count toward the Daily request limit. See AI usage limits, costs and privacy.

FAQ

Why is the Write article button disabled?

The Topic or focus keyword field is empty, no AI provider is set up, or your role cannot use RankKit SEO AI. Fill in a topic, or add a key in RankKit SEO → Settings → AI provider.

Is the article published automatically?

No. It is only placed in the editor. The post keeps its status until you save, schedule or publish it yourself.

Which language is the article in?

It follows your site language (from Settings → General in WordPress), like the AI writer.
