If you build pages with Elementor, you don't need to leave the editor to work on SEO. RankKit SEO adds an SEO drawer to the Elementor editor with the same score, previews and main fields as the classic RankKit SEO panel, and three widgets (FAQ, How-to and Table of contents) that output schema.

Everything here is free and only runs when Elementor is active. The Elementor drawer keeps its tabbed layout; the WordPress block editor uses the newer RankKit SEO panel.

Open the SEO drawer

  1. Edit a page with Elementor.
  2. Click the SEO button in the editor. Where your Elementor version supports it, RankKit SEO is also in the top bar's menu.
  3. The RankKit SEO drawer opens.

The drawer shows the SEO score for your focus keyword and these tabs:

Tab What you set
General Search preview, SEO title, Meta description, Focus keywords and the analysis checklist.
Advanced Hide from search engines (noindex), Do not follow links (nofollow), Cornerstone content, Canonical URL and Schema type.
Social Social title, Social description, Social image and the share preview.

The content analysis reads the page as Elementor renders it in the preview, so word count, headings, links and images reflect what visitors see. See Content analysis checks.

Save your SEO changes

RankKit SEO fields are saved when Elementor saves the page. While you have unsaved changes, the drawer says "Unsaved SEO changes. They are saved with the page, or now:" with a Save SEO button to save them right away. After saving, it says "Saved with the page."

Elementor's autosave doesn't save RankKit SEO fields. Click Publish or Update in Elementor, or Save SEO in the drawer.

What's not in the drawer

  • The Schema section (the Schema manager) and the Performance section are in the WordPress editor only. To add schema items, open the page in the WordPress editor (Edit from the Pages list, not Edit with Elementor), click the RankKit SEO button in the editor toolbar and choose Schema.
  • The AI Assistant, Write with AI and the redirect, hide and robots override options of the Advanced section are also only in the block editor panel (Advanced post settings).

FAQ, How-to and Table of contents widgets

In the Elementor widget panel, open the RankKit SEO category. It has three widgets with the same output and schema as the RankKit SEO blocks:

Widget Settings
FAQ (RankKit SEO) Questions and answers. Layout: Collapsible (no JavaScript) or Headings and paragraphs, and Question heading. Outputs FAQPage schema.
How-to (RankKit SEO) Title, Introduction, Total time (minutes), Supplies (one per line), Tools (one per line), and steps with Step title, Instructions and Image. Outputs HowTo schema.
Table of contents (RankKit SEO) Title, Include H2 to Include H6, Numbered list. Links to the headings on the published page.

The widgets use the same small stylesheet as the blocks, loaded only on pages that use them, and no JavaScript.

Other page builders

Divi, Oxygen, Breakdance and Bricks don't get a drawer, but RankKit SEO still reads their content for the content analysis, the site audit and AI features. Edit the SEO fields of those pages in the WordPress editor screen.
